I recently attended the Ontario Prospectors Exploration Showcase Prospecting: Where it all Begins in Thunder Bay. I worked at the Noront booth greeting people, answering questions about the company and explaining my role as a Field Assistant. I also attended a couple of mining presentations.
Being there was an incredible learning experience, and it made me realize how huge the mining industry is. It felt great both to represent Noront and to explain what I do.
I also had an opportunity to learn more about the company and the industry generally. There are so many aspects and steps that go into the development of a mine.
Although I was nervous at first, I really enjoyed interacting with everyone who visited the booth and talking to them about Noront. I also enjoyed visiting the other booths to learn about all the different types of companies and what they do.
Special thanks to my booth-mates… Ryan Weston, Scott Jacob, Matt Deller, Geoff Heggie and Roydon Spence.
